Kompenzacioni bazen (compensation pool) has more than 220 species recorded by a single local birder, Ivan Medenica.
Locally common birds include planinska trepteljka, Ćubasta ševa, Obična grmuša and Crnoglava travarka. Followed by frequent Kratkoprsti kobac, Pirgasta grmuša, Sivi voljić, Vuga, Grlica, Prdavac, Leganj and Mala šljuka.
Local rarities include mouth-watering birds such as Kudravi nesit, Ušati gnjurac, Pustinjska grmuša, Ševarski trstenjak and Velika ševa.
