Description
The Drasov Fishponds are made up of 6 smaller and larger bodies of water surrounded by reedbeds, meadows and agricultural lands. Not to be missed in wintertime and all the way up to june sometimes is the Utva zlatokrila. Other species present: Šarena utva, Šiljkan, Plovka kašikara, Sabljarka, Vlastelica and small waders in low numbers. The local curosity is represented by one Nilska guska.

Access
The Drasov Fishponds are located between Sebes (west) and Sibiu (east), near Drasov village. Acces by highway E81 from either direction, off-ramp at Cunta village. Alternative acces by national road 7, take the 106I road via Cunta village. Parking is on the shoulders of an agricultural road near the northern ponds. Press P on the map for directions. Acces to the southern string of ponds is through road 104D that starts right before Drasov village at the gas station. Parking on 104D is a bit difficult, the road is narrow. Try the shoulders where it is wide enough. To visit all the lakes allow yourself about 2+ hours.

The meadows on the western shore of the northern ponds can become very soggy due to precipitations. Rubber boots or waterproof hiking boots are recommended. If you find yourself in the area consider visiting the fishponds between Sebes city and Daia Romana village.
