Mixed-biotope area, close to the San River in Sanok with a significant diversity of fauna and flora. It contains a fen nature trail.
Sosenki is a relatively small area in the Sanok town, being partially covered in pine trees (for which the Polish name derives from). The main areas of interest here, putting aside nearby San River banks, are: pine tree park, two fishing ponds, surrounded by mixed shrubbery and trees, and also a fen - with its own nature/educational trail. The fen is a part of the PLB180003 "Góry Słonne" Natura 2000 area. It's mainly known for species of water-dependant birds, but also some woodland species and many birds of prey, having their territories there and nearby. Some species of water-dependant birds that can be found here in nesting season are: Gluvara, Krdža, Labud grbac, Mali gnjurac, Barski petlovan, Barska kokica, Liska, Vivak, Žalar slepić, Barska šljuka, Polojka, Crna roda, Siva čaplja, Velika bela čaplja, Vodomar, Senica vuga, Trstenjak rogožar, Trstenjak crvrkutić, Veliki trstenjak, Žuta pliska, Bela pliska and Barska strnadica.
Many other water-dependant species can be met during migration or during winter, especially if the surface of ponds isn't covered with ice, like: Grogotovac, Plovka kašikara, Čegrtuša, Zviždara, Šiljkan, Riđoglava patka, Patka njorka, Ćubasta patka, Patka dupljašica, Mali ronac, Veliki ronac, Ćubasti gnjurac, Barski petlić, Sprudnik ubojica, Mala šljuka, Sprudnik pijukavac, Crni sprudnik, Krivokljuni sprudnik, Sprudnik migavac, Crvenonogi sprudnik, Obični galeb, Sivi galeb, Sinji galeb, Obična čigra, Crnogrli morski gnjurac, Riđogrli morski gnjurac, Veliki vranac, Čapljica, Gak, Obični cvrčić and Potočna pliska. Some birds of prey that can be found here in nesting season: Osičar, Orao kliktaš, Suri orao, Eja močvarica, Kobac, Jastreb, Belorepan, Mišar, Šumska sova, Utina, Vetruška and Lastavičar. Migrating/wintering species: Ribar, Poljska eja, Eja livadarka, Crna lunja, Gaćasti mišar, Siva vetruška and Sivi soko.
Forest/park and shrubbery is also home to many woodland species, such as: Golub grivnaš, Obična kukavica, Veliki detlić, Mali detlić, Siva žuna, Zelena žuna, Crna žuna, Vuga, Sojka, Gavran, Jelova senica, Siva senica, Planinska siva senica, Plava senica, Velika senica, Žuti voljić, Obični zviždak, Brezov zviždak, Dugorepa senica, Crnoglava grmuša, Grmuša čavrljanka, Kraljić, Brgljez, Kratkokljuni puzić, Dugokljuni puzić, Carić, Čvorak, Drozd imelaš, Drozd pevač, Obični kos, Siva muharica, Crvendać, Zeba, Batokljun, Zelentarka, Češljugar. Some, like Zimovka and Čižak can be met here only during migration/winter. Other species, more related to fen and open habitats in general are: Prepelica, Fazan, Prdavac, Bela roda, Rusi svračak, Svraka, siva vrana, Poljska ševa, Cvrčić tršćar, Obična grmuša and Strnadica žutovoljka.
