More than 30 pairs of Bela roda nest in Pentowo. The place was nominated European Stork Village in 2001.
In Pentowo there are about 30 Bela roda nests in the area. There are also 2 observation towers. After a hurricane in 1991 Bela roda started to built nests at the broken tops of trees. After that they moved on to the buildings, electricity poles and even on the top of observation towers they made a nest. There are other excellent birdwatching sites in the area but the storks rule here. The best times to visit are spring and summer, when the young are learning to fly. Other interesting animals living in the area are wolf and moose.
The easiest way to get there is by car. Next to the manor house is the parking place. On the premises of the farm there is a manor house, exhibition, hotel, souvenir shop, stable and of course Bela roda. It is necessary to buy a ticket (about 2 Euro) that allows you to watch the Bela roda. To walk around the area you need about 40 minutes - 1 hour.
