Dziećkowice is one of the cleanest water reservoirs in the Silesian Voivodeship. The area is a great birding place during autumn migration, mainly for ducks, divers and gulls. At least 150 species of birds have been observed here. The rarer birds observed here include Guska crvenovoljka, Nilska guska, Šarena utva, Mandarinka, Prevez, Patka njorka, Gavka, Troprsti galeb, Veliki morski gnjurac, planinska trepteljka and Snežna strnadica.
The Dziećkowice Reservoir is located between the towns of Mysłowice and Oświęcim and just east of the villages of Imielin and Chełm Śląski. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The best way to explore this place is on foot.
