Description
You can find a Obični cvrčić here resounding in the extensive reed beds. As well as listen to the singing of a Vinogradska strnadica and a Mali slavuj on the edge of the forest. If you are lucky, you may even notice an Utina flying silently over the local fields. The forest itself also hides many interesting species such as Kratkokljuni puzić, Šumski zviždak and Vatroglavi kraljić.
If you are here in autumn, you can expect waders, which include Sprudnik migavac, Krivokljuni sprudnik and Polojka. The river itself also has a lot to offer, Veliki ronac and numerous Labud grbac breed here. In the morning, the loud cry of the Ždral resounds here, as it brings out its nests here. Access
Dolina Prosny is located directly northwest of the town of Kalisz. The easiest way is to park in one of the nearby parking lots or take public transport (Bażancia pętla) where city buses run. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. It's quite a large area. To get an idea of the distances: The walk from the parking to the observation tower is about 3 km one way.
