Nice stop at the Milford Sound Highway in Fiordland National Park. Right in front of the Homer tunnel entrance you have a good opportunity so see Kea.
Fiordland National Park occupies the southwest corner of the South Island of New Zealand. It is by far the largest of the 13 national parks in New Zealand. The park consists mainly of forests and water, including fourteen fjords. Where the Milford Sound Highway goes into the Homer tunnel you can make a nice stop and have an opportunity so see Kea. Other birds you can encounter on this spot are New Zealand Rock Wren, New Zealand Bellbird, Grey Gerygone, Silvereye, Australasian Pipit and Tomtit.
Parking lot right next to the highway. Click on the P in the map for directions or coordinates.
