Salt marsh on the southwest coast of the Wadden Sea island of Ameland. It is a high water refuge that rarely floods and can be clearly seen from the dike.
The Feugelpôlle is a salt marsh that is easily accessible by bicycle and beautiful species of the Wadden Sea can be seen during high water, such as Šljuka kamenjarka, Crnotrba sprutka, Morska sprutka. Nederlands: De Feugelpôlle is een kwelder aan de zuidwestkust van Ameland. Een hoogwatervluchtplaats die zelden overstroomt en goed is te zien vanaf de dijk. De plek is per fiets goed te bereiken en er zijn mooie soorten van de Waddenzee te zien tijdens hoogwater, zoals Šljuka kamenjarka, Crnotrba sprutka, Morska sprutka. In het voorjaar broeden hier meeuwen en sterns, zoals Obični galeb, Arktička čigra en Obična čigra, maar bijvoorbeeld ook Ostrigar.
The best way to get here is by bike or on foot, but you can also reach the dike by car from Hollum or Ballum. The dike can be crossed by stairs. You can see most birds with high tide, see a link to the tides chart below.
