Nairobi National Park has well-developed trails and offers viewing of classic savanna species such as Common Ostrich and White-backed Vulture.
Nairobi National Park is located right next to the city of Nairobi with well-developed roads where normal cars can be used. The landscape is varied with open grassland, acacia savannas, bushland, streams and reservoirs. And a backdrop of the city skyscrapers. The park is host to a wide variety of wildlife including the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded. Among the birds you can observe are Common Ostrich, White-backed Vulture, Secretarybird and Kori Bustard.
Nairobi National Park can only be explored by car and is easy accessible from the city of Nairobi (the park is 10 km south of Nairobi City Center). There is an entry fee to pay: 430 KSH (about 4 dollar/euro, 2024).
