Description
Langness has good seawatch viewpoints north and south. The east coast is rocky and good for Crvenokljuna galica, Kos ogrličar, Ritska sova, Kukuvija and Crnoglava travarka. The west coast has exposed mud and seaweed-strewn rock at low tide frequented by herons, egrets, Ostrigar, Šarena utva, Morska sprutka, Šljuka kamenjarka and Velika carska šljuka. Rarities seen here include Velika ševa, Beloleđa sprutka and Grlica.

Access
Isle of Man can be visited by ferry from Liverpoool, Heysham, Belfast or Dublin, or by air from several airports. Car park at Derbyhaven which is on a regular bus route, then short walk across to Langness. Or park on the island near the lighthouse. Be aware there is a golf course; dont obstruct play or become an accidental target.
