This is a now unused bogland with areas of wetland, water, scrub, hedgerows and forestry.
Kilberry Bog is a fantastic winter birding area as it has Utina, Kukuvija and sometimes Ritska sova. It has Mišar, Mali soko, Kobac, Vetruška, Sivi soko and Poljska eja. There are Gluvara, Krdža, Barska šljuka, Mala šljuka, Zlatni vivak, Vivak, Žalar blatarić and occasionally Sprudnik pijukavac. It also has Labud grbac and Veliki labud.
You can access Kilberry Bog by car as far as the edge then walk around. There are several laneways which lead to it and cars can be parked at the roadside so long as you don't block access or gateways. Click on the P in the map for directions.
As well as the birds listed earlier, there are a lot of small songbirds like Strnadica žutovoljka, Crnoglava travarka, Livadska trepteljka, Poljska ševa, Barska strnadica and various finches.
