Lake with park and circular path near Heilbronn.
In the middle of Ziegeleipark lies a lake with varied shores: grassy shores alternate with gravel and sandy beach as well as with heavily overgrown banks with marsh and water plants on the small peninsula and in the transition to the wetland. Striking eye-catchers are the up to 15-metre-high steep walls made of loess clay at the water tower. They are home to rare wild bee species and are protected. There used to be kingfishers at the lake before they were disturbed by visitors who approached the birds too close from the land side. Birds you can observe in the area include Veliki detlić, Zelena žuna, Gluvara, Crvendać, Sojka, Barska kokica and Labud grbac.
Ziegeleipark is located in Böckingen in Heilbronn. You can park close to the park. Press P on the map for directions. The nearest bus stop is "Heuchelbergstraße," which is a short walk from the park. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 1,5 km.
