Description
The Stahlberg and Hölleberg area is dominated by well-preserved calcareous grasslands in different stages of succession and interesting for breeding birds of semi-open habitat, including Obična kukavica, Prepelica, Mali slavuj, Poljska ševa, Zelena žuna, Cvrčić tršćar, Rusi svračak, Šumska trepteljka, Šumska ševa and Vijoglava. Visitors are Crna lunja and Riđa lunja, Crna roda, Gavran and Lastavičar. The area is also a well-known hotspot among botanists (orchids) and entomologists (e.g. butterflies).

Access
The site is accessible by car, there is a parking possibility at the airfield Hölleberg. From there, several hiking routes lead along the plateau which offers a scenic view over the Diemel valley. The length of the route you see on the map is about 7 km.
