Leipheimer Moos

Günzburg, Bayern  >  Germany

Great area for our now rare native meadow breeding species. Also rare waders, birds of prey and songbirds, you can really find everything here.

Description

The Leipheimer Moos is a beautiful moorland with wide areas for Eja močvarica as well as the rare Prdavac, Žuta pliska, Cvrčić tršćar and migratory Livadska trepteljka. In the reed areas north of the border ditch Modrovoljka likes to sing, in the cattle pastures Crnoglava travarka and along the boardwalk circuit (the boardwalk itself is unfortunately closed) Vijoglava, Mali slavuj, Barska šljuka, Vivak, Obična grmuša, Obična kukavica, Fazan and Crna žuna can be heard or seen.

Also worth a visit in autumn/winter when there are Poljska eja, Veliki svračak, Ritska sova, Lisasta guska and Ždral.
