Description

The Hollerner See is a 30-hectare quarry lake that was created on the site of a former gravel pit. Although the lake was only completed in 2019 and there are many bathers in the summer, many species of birds have settled there. Different species of ducks, Ćubasti gnjurac, Mali gnjurac and Divlja guska can be found on the lake. The geese use the lake as a breeding and moulting ground.

In spring and summer Veliki trstenjak, Trstenjak crvrkutić, Barska strnadica and Čapljica breed in the reeds on the shore. Žalar slepić and Polojka can often be seen on the small island. In the area around the lake you can see Fazan, Jarebica, Zelena žuna and Strnadica žutovoljka all year round. Trstenjak mlakar, Žuti voljić, Obična grmuša and Brezov zviždak in the summer months.
