Friedhof Hoppenlau is the oldest burial ground in Stuttgart created during the plague in 1626. There are interesting old graves amongst mature trees and bushes - a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Several bird species unusual for the city center can be found here: Veliki detlić, Zelena žuna, Batokljun, Češljugar, Dugokljuni puzić, Kraljić. In summer time Crna čiopa and Bela čiopa are plentiful in the sky. You will also encounter many red squirrels.

Friedhof Hoppenlau is located in the city center of Stuttgart. It is easily accessible by foot and public transport (closest being U4 Rosenberg-/Seidenstraße and U1, U9, U11 Berliner Platz).
