Description
Böhmerweiher consists of two lakes. The smaller lake supports Mali gnjurac, Barska kokica and Liska. Krdža overwinter here. The larger lake often attracts visiting waterfowl in the winter: Divlja guska, Čegrtuša, Ćubasti gnjurac, more rarely Zviždara, Šarena utva or Veliki ronac. Vodomar fish in both ponds.
In the gravel areas and streams surrounding the lakes Strnadica žutovoljka and Brezov zviždak sing from the bushes. Zelena žuna feed on the ants. Barski petlovan skulks on the banks. Trstenjak crvrkutić and Barska strnadica populate the reeds in the spring and summer. Occasional visitors like the Pupavac can surprise you by stopping to rest during their migration.
Barska šljuka sometimes forage in the wet fields surrounding Böhmerweiher. And sometimes Sivi soko hunt for prey.
