Alte Elbe is an old arm of the river Elbe near the town of Gerwisch. Good chances to see Belorepan, Ribar and Ždral. Many waterbirds, especially during migration time (e.g., Velika bela čaplja, Siva čaplja, Divlja guska, Guska ljigarica, Plovka kašikara, Krdža, Grogotovac, Veliki labud, Mali ronac, Veliki ronac, Ćubasti gnjurac, Mali gnjurac, Vivak, Krivokljuni sprudnik, Crni sprudnik, Sprudnik ubojica). In the adjacent areas Riđa lunja, Crna lunja, Vetruška, Crna žuna, Vijoglava, and very occasionally Pčelarica or Pupavac can be seen.
