Description
You will reach the monument on your drive from Tblisi to Kazbegi, a few kilometers before the Jvari pass. It is a tourist attraction with car park and people selling food and memorabilia. There is a large observation platform and a smaller one near the car park. Look up for migrating birds like Osičar, Kratkoprsti kobac, Crna lunja or local Suri orao, Bela čiopa or Gavran. On the rocks below you can see species like Crvenokljuna galica, Žutokljuna galica, Planinski popić, Puzgavac and Kos ogrličar. Check the grassland for planinska trepteljka and Crnoglava žutarica.
