Wetland at the easternmost point of Lake Serre-Ponçon. There is water from the end of May to the end of October. The wetland has an observatory.

Description

Lake Serre-Ponçon is one of the largest reservoirs in Western Europe. The lake gathers the waters of the Durance and the Ubaye rivers. On the eastern end of the reservoir, where the river Durance flows into Lake Serre-Ponçon you can find an interesting wetland for birding. You can observe Vodenkos as well as many wagtails and water birds. On the lake and from the dike you can observe gulls, cormorants and herons. Among the birds you can see are Siva čaplja, Gluvara, Veliki ronac, Ćubasti gnjurac, Barska kokica, Vivak, Žalar blatarić, Žalar slepić, Polojka, Sprudnik pijukavac, Obični galeb, Morski galeb, Velika bela čaplja, Mala bela čaplja, Čaplja govedarka, Vodomar, Sojka, Vrana and Vodenkos.

Français: La zone humide recouvre la langue terminale du lac de Serre-Ponçon. Elle est en eau de fin Mai à fin Octobre. Il existe un observatoire. Le bord de la Durance permet d'observer des Cincle plongeurs ainsi que de nombreuses Bergeronettes et Canards. Sur le lac et depuis la digue on observe les mouettes, cormorans et hérons.

Access

The wetland is accessible by a wooded path from the Baratiers commercial area. You can also cross the Durance by a pedestrian bridge to get back to the lake. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the parking.

Français: La zone humide est accessible par un chemin boisé à partir de la zone commerciale de Baratiers. On peut aussi traverser la Durance par une passerelle piétonne pour regoindre le plan d'eau.
