This former saltworks, in operation until the late 1970s, is now owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral. A boardwalk leads you through this protected natural area. A beautiful walk where you have the chance to spot birds like Vlastelica, Šarena utva, Sredozemna crnoglava grmuša, Mala bela čaplja and Plamenac.

Access
Peyriac-de-Mer is located 15 km south of the city of Narbonne. You can reach the saltworks via the A9 motorway (exit 38 or 39) or via the D6009 and D105. Press P on the map for directions to a parking. From the parking you can choose from several marked walks. The walk shown on the map is approximately 2.5 km.
