Description

Parc de l'Ovalie et Canal du Furon is particularly interesting for observing the Vodenkos. At least one couple is present there all year round and due to the fairly high attendance of the park, the birds are relatively accustomed to human presence. The setting is also very good for making beautiful photos. It is also possible to observe quite easily the Vodomar and many passerines such as Češljugar, Žutarica, Batokljun, but also Strnadica kamenjarka in winter.

Français: Petit parc très sympa avec de belles prairies, de nombreux arbres et surtout un joli ruisseau qui constitue un passage de choix pour plusieurs espèces. Ce site est particulièrement intéressant pour l'observation du Vodenkos ! Au moins un couple y est présent toute l'année et de part la fréquentation assez importante du parc, est relativement habitué à la présence humaine. Le décor est également propice à de très belles photos. Il est également possible d'y observer assez facilement le Vodomar et de nombreux passereaux comme le Češljugar, le Žutarica, le Batokljun mais aussi le Strnadica kamenjarka en hiver.

Access

Parc de l'Ovalie et Canal du Furon is easily accessible by bike from Grenoble along the rivers Drac and Isère. It is also possible to park in the area. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. Public transport: the terminus of tram A is about a 35-minute walk from the park.
