Description
In Le Marais de Fontenay you can observe waterfowl, Lastavičar, Labud grbac, Vodomar on its perch, or Obična čigra on its islet, and Liska in reeds. There are quite regularly Vodeni bik on the pond at Pointes, which is hard to observe because with that plumage that camouflages the bird so very well in the reeds. With a lot of luck, you can also see Čapljica, in summer.

Français: Il y a un marais, des étangs, du bois, du marécages et deux observatoires (celui de l'étang aux Moines et celui de l'étang aux Pointes). On peut observer des anatidés, des Lastavičar, des Labud grbac, le Vodomar sur son perchoir, ou encore la Obična čigra sur son îlot, et le Liska dans les roseaux. Il y a assez régulièrement des Vodeni bik sur l'étang au Pointes, et c'est un oiseau plutôt rare à observer car très farouche, peu commun, et avec un plumage qui se camoufle très bien avec son habitat. Avec beaucoup de chance, on peut également voir le Čapljica, en été.

You can access the area by two car parks, one located at the end of the Chemin des Marais (in Fontenay le Vicomte), and another located at the end of the Rue de l'Abrevoir (also in Fontenay). Click on a P in the map for directions.
