In Forêt des Battées you can observe birds of prey such as Jastreb and Patuljasti orao and woodpeckers such as Srednji detlić and Crna žuna. Also Gavran, Golub dupljaš and Šumski zviždak breed in the forest. Šumska šljuka can be found on passage or in winter.

Access
To get to Forêt des Battées, in the village of La Forge, take the small road to Val Saint-Benoît. Park just after the bridge over the TGV line. Click on the P in the map for directions. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 4 km.
