Bird observatory in a typical Dombe's pond. Some scarce reedbeds and wet woodland. Mainly shallow water with hydrophilic vegetation.
Étang Turlet is located at the southern exit of the town of Villars-les-Dombes. The lake has mainly open shallow water with some scarce reedbeds and wet woodlands. On the northern bank of the lake is a bird hide. Among the bird you can observe are Čegrtuša, Zviždara, Šiljkan, Prevez, Ćubasta patka, Riđoglava patka, Krdža, Grogotovac, Labud grbac, Crvena čaplja, Bela roda, Eja močvarica, Belobrka čigra, Ćubasti gnjurac, Mali gnjurac and Crnovrati gnjurac.
Étang Turlet is located south of the town of Villars-les-Dombes. You can park along the road close to the lake. Click on the P in the map for directions. From parking spot it is just a 100 m walk to the bird hide.
