A lovely area. Used to be a number of small islands in the Stone Age, over time they have become landlocked with the coast by a sandbar.
A sandbar encircles the bird-rich lake called "Vælddam". In the small stand of trees called Store Trille, there is a bird observation tower which gives a good overview of the area. Here, all year round, a rich bird life of especially waterfowl can be observed.
Parking lot at the boat club in Høruphav. Click on the P in the map to get directions. The circular walk shown on the map is about 3 km long.
