Description
There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare Brkata senica and there are nesting some other rare birds like Čapljica , Modrovoljka and Rumenka. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example Obična beloguza , Obični cvrčić , Crnoglavi galeb , Ribar and sometimes even Istočni trstenjak and Ševarski trstenjak.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like Crnotrba sprutka , Sprudnik ubojica , Mala sprutka , Riđa sprutka , Crni sprudnik , Sprudnik migavac and some other. Also you can observe Barski petlić or Barski petlovan.
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching Brkata senica and if you are lucky you can see wintering Vodeni bik or Planinska juričica .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: Crvenovrata liskonoga , Šljuka kamenjarka , Dugokljuni sprudnik , Muljača , Velika sprutka , Veliki crnoglavi galeb , Dugokljuna čigra , Arktička čigra , Daurska lasta , Stepska eja , Lastorepi galeb , Istočni trstenjak , Ševarski trstenjak and many others.

Access
The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
