Description
Ploegsteert is an old clay extraction area which has been converted to a mosaic of different marshy habitats and therefore a great location for many species of birds. Especially the extensive reedbeds in the area are great for species like Barski petlovan, herons, ducks and typical reed species, such as Barska strnadica and Brkata senica. The area is a must see for Vodeni bik and Crnovrati gnjurac.
