Former sand pit transformed into ponds fitted out to accommodate birds with reed bed, nesting and resting site for various species including migrants.
The 10 meter deep old sand quarry, known locally as De Drie Vijvers, is nowadays filled with clear groundwater and rainwater. It is the ideal place for special plants and a paradise for foraging birds. You can take a nice and varied walk around the ponds and you can spot a lot of water birds like Veliki vranac, Mali gnjurac, Vodomar, Ćubasta patka, Barska strnadica, Trstenjak rogožar, Modrovoljka and Ćubasti gnjurac.
Accessible on foot, by bike and by car, parking nearby.
