Description
The Schlatzingeraue Natur Park is located in the center of the Maltatal and consists of a small resting area surrounded with wet grasslands and forests next to the river. A small track leads you around the grassland and next to the river, where species such as Potočna pliska and Vodenkos can be seen. Small patches of bushes and scattered trees are great for songbirds, like Crnoglava grmuša and Kratkokljuni puzić and woodpeckers, like Veliki detlić.
The grassland has several patches with bushes in which species, such as Grmuša čavrljanka, can be found. With a bit of luck, a Rusi svračak might show up here too! The forests, mainly pine, are great for species such as Ćubasta senica, Jelova senica and Vatroglavi kraljić. Also, fairly large numbers of Lešnjikara can be found here too!

The area has been appointed as resting area and provides a parking lot and several picknick areas. There's a small path surrounding the wet grassland area and next to the river.
