Located at the mouth of the Kajabach. A perfect view on the River Thaya in the National Park Thayatal and home to the elusive Crna roda.
Quiet area of a narrow floodplain forest. Walk down the river valley of the Thaya at the Austrian-Czech border. Slowly floating water invites the Vodomar or the Crna roda to fish. Best chances in the morning hours. With some luck you may spot or hear a Obični cvrčić. Other birds you can see are Potočna pliska and Vodenkos.
You can get there on foot from the Parking at Feste Kaja (an old castle ruin, to go there click on the P on the map). From the parking it's a 20-25 minutes walk along the little creek Kajabach until you reach the river Thaya.
