Riparian forest and some creeks (of the Danube) where to see many specific birds of the national park Donau-Auen.
The Bienenfresser Themenweg (Pčelarica-trail) near Haslau is located in the middle of the National Park Donau-Auen. There is a loop road through the forest with many stations with different topics, but some highlights along the way are for example an observation tower and a breeding-wall for Pčelarica. Other possible species to observe are Belorepan, Siva žuna, Osičar and Vuga.
The best place to park the car is in the eastern part of the town of Haslau. Click on the P in the map for directions. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 3 km. For more information about the whole way/area see the link below to the website of the national park.
