Description
Yerevan Botanical Garden covers an area of approximately 80 hectares and is filled with trees, dense shrubs, and peaceful shaded areas, making it a great habitat for birds. In spring and summer, you can spot Mali slavuj, Siva muharica and Pupavac here. Winter visitors include Severna zeba, Zeba, Fazan and other birds. Seoski detlić and Kobac can be seen year-round. The garden’s calm atmosphere and rich greenery make it a perfect place for birdwatching in the city.

Yerevan Botanical Garden is located in the northern part of the city, making it easily accessible for a nature break without leaving Yerevan. The garden is about a 15-minute drive from the city center. You can park near the main entrance. Press P on the map for directions. Public Transport: Several buses and minibuses stop near the garden. Bus routes 20, 54 from the city center pass nearby. The closest stop is "Botanical Garden." By Taxi/Ride-hailing Services: Apps like GG or Yandex.Go offer a fast and affordable way to reach the garden.
The entry fee for Yerevan Botanical Garden is 500 AMD (2025). Opening times: 09:00 to 20:00 from April to October, and 09:00 to 17:30 during November to March. A short walk can take 1–2 hours, but for birdwatching, a longer visit of 3–4 hours is recommended. The garden has several walking paths through different tree-covered areas.
Photographing birds with a professional camera costs 5000 AMD (payment can be made at the entrance, or you can simply avoid visibly carrying a camera in front of staff).
