The lagoon is renowned for Kudravi nesit (6.4% of the Europe's population) and within the List of Ramsar wetlands of international importance. The lagoon is situated on the Adriatic coast, 40 km west of Lushnja city. From Tirana, you have to take the highway to Durres and then, from there, take the one to Fier. Then, after about 38 kilometers, follow the signs for Cerma and Sipërme, and then those for Divjaka. There is a visitor center, a bird watching tower and there is are trails to explore the area on foot. You can also book organized boat trips on the lake. Note that some trails can be closed in the breeding season and unfortunately this is not always well indicated at the start of a trail.
