Description
Birds that top the list in Thursden Valley are Red Grouse, krokar and the laughing zelena žolna. One minute your on open barren moorland the next your in the woods. Among the other birds you can encounter are školjkarica, Pegasta sova, navadna postovka, poljski škrjanec, travniška cipa, veliki žagar, prosnik, ščinkavec, veliki škurh, močvirska uharica and čuk.

Access
Thursden Valley is located northeast of Burnley. You can park near the Coldwell reservoirs. Click on the P in the map for directions, Or you can make the journey big and come from either Widdop or Hurstwood. Best to explore the area by foot. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 1,8 mile (3 km).
