Located in the heart of the Somerset Levels and Moors, Greylake is a flat wetland with good paths and reedbed. Thanks to all the water, you can see priba, rdečenogi martinec and kozica nesting in the spring. Smaller birds such as bičja trstnica, rumena pastirica and trstni strnad can be heard and seen singing from the trails.
Over winter, vast flocks of ducks and waders, being hunted by birds of prey. priba and zlata prosenka are sometimes joined by spremenljivi prodnik, togotnik and črnorepi kljunač. Large flocks of žvižgavka, kreheljc and smaller groups of žličarica, konopnica and dolgorepa raca feed in front of the hides. sokol selec and rjavi lunj are seen regularly and mali sokol and pepelasti lunj occasionally.
There is a free car park off A361 (Ashcott to Taunton road) well signposted just before entrance. There is a boardwalk which meanders from the car park to the hide and provides disabled access. Said to be wheelchair friendly but never tried.
There is one main hide and several 'viewing screens'
