The Chafford Gorges Nature Park is a nature reserve of 81 hectares located in Chafford Hundred.
Chafford Gorges is a beautiful nature reserve set in amongst a new build housing estate, with lakes overlooked by a huge white ravine. A network of pathways take you around lakes, meadows and woodland. Among the birds that you can expect to see are vodomec, veliki detel, zelena žolna, breguljka, žličarica, čopasta črnica, mali ponirek, skobec, bičja trstnica, srpična trstnica, črnoglavka, lišček and svilnica. In winter, the gorges are visited by birds such as čižek, Brezovček and sivka.
The park is within walking distance of Chafford Hundred railway station. When you choose to arrive by car there is a free car park on site. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
