The Gönen Delta is a river delta that has reed beds, salt marshes and mud flats as the main habitat types. Birds you can observe include plamenec, polojnik, mali ponirek, črnovrati ponirek, Mokož, rjava komatna tekica, beloceli deževnik, komatni deževnik and duplinska kozarka. But many more, see the birdlist below.
The Gönen Delta is located 25 km west of the town of Bandirma. You can go there best by car. There is a small village (Misakça) nearby it. Around 4-5 hours is enough to discover the whole area by car. Press a P in the map for directions.
