Description

Vogelraupfi is a protected area and is used by various birds such as siva gos, kozica or vodomec as a breeding and nesting site and is an important resting place outside of the breeding season. The island is 30 meters from the left (northern) river bank, and 115 meters from the right. It is around 292 meters long and a maximum of 78 meters wide. The area is 1.2 hectares. When the water level is low, mudflats expand the food base for birds, especially waders.
