Description
The Långfjället Nature Reserve is one of Sweden’s largest. The highest peak is Storvätteshogna, at 1204 m. It has areas of pure primeval forest without traces of forestry. On the moutain plateau it is lovely walking with plenty of birds on top and in dales. Lots of belka, travniška cipa, zlata prosenka and kupcar. You also find zlovešča šoja (in the coniferous forest) and zelenonogi martinec (around small bog areas in the forest). And along the streams and rivers the povodni kos is a common sight. In the lakes and streams you can find ducks like kreheljc, zvonec and polarni slapnik.You can also encounter moose, foxes, martens and brown bears.
