Description

In Lamburträsk you can see the majority of Lapland’s waders and seabirds as nesting birds or migratory birds on their way north in spring. You can hear the calls of the žerjav, labod pevec and njivska gos echoing over the lake and see waders like močvirski martinec, kozica, puklež, veliki škurh and zelenonogi martinec. Almost all of the country's duck birds can be seen in the area. For example mali žagar, but also birds like rjavovrati ponirek. And large flocks of ozkokljuni liskonožec rest in the lake on their way to the mountain marshes in the spring.

Access

Lamburträsk lies about 26 kilometres west of Arvidsjaur. Follow road 95 from Arvidsjaur eastwards, turn off road 94 after just over 5 km and then turn right onto the road towards Piesker. Then it is signposted towards Lambur. The road nearest the reserve can be closed during the snowmelting period or during heavy, long-lasting rain. The road block kan be removed, but driving on the road is on your own risk. If the road is closed, you can walk about 3 km from the exit road at Pjesker. The area is easily accessible with hiking trails and birdwatching towers.
