Description
Labudovo Okno is the place where the agricultural plain of Deliblato meets the Danube river near the Romanian - Serbian border. Because of the building of Djerdap Dam, Danube has flooded surrounding Stevan’s Plains (Serbian: Stevanove ravnice) and made perfect habitat for gathering of birds. Here you can see all kinds of waterfowl species, mainly at winter time. sivka, čopasta črnica, zvonec, rjavka and zlatouhi ponirek are regular species that gather at winter time. There are also quite many geese that gather here, mainly siva gos and beločela gos.
During spring migration there are few species of gulls and terns, some other birds like smrdokavra, belorepec, liska, mlakarica and dolgorepa raca. During fall migration there are many small birds migrating through here, species like Grey-headed Wagtail (thunbergi), rumeni vrtnik, bičja trstnica, srpična trstnica and sivi muhar. Also there are migrating raptors like ribji orel and Sršenar.
