Swan Lake is a place of mass wintering of labod pevec and other waterfowl. This is a unique phenomenon for Siberia.
You can observe waterfowl in the reserve from November to the end of March in the entourage of the Siberian winter, sometimes it is at a temperature of minus forty degrees and below. The main mass of birds is a labod pevec and mlakarica. But you can also see zvonec, veliki žagar, in small numbers there are labod grbec and Tundra Swan. Numerous povodni kos feed along the banks of ice-free streams. Here you can see Long-tailed Rosefinches, sinji plavček, kozača, Grey Bullfinch and other Siberian birds.
There is an air service from Moscow to Barnaul, then the best option is a taxi. You can rent a car (from Barnaul to the reserve is 220 km). There are hotels near the reserve.
