In the vicinity of the village of Cund you will find open hilly terrain with shrubs, forests, sand walls and rivers with dense reeds.
It is a hilly area, with pieces of dense forest with a chance of seeing various woodpeckers. Other parts are open with thickets where rjavi srakoper, rjava cipa, rjava penica, poljski vrabec, hribski škrjanec, prosnik, črnočeli srakoper and kukavica can be seen. There are also sand walls where čebelar nests. Along the rivers the kobilar sings, which can also be seen very well from the higher hills. The smrdokavra calls out loud and is especially visible on treetops. The krokar is also active and several birds of prey patrol the area. Various bird species are also present in the reeds.
You can park at Valea Verde Resort. There you can ask for a map with walking routes. You can also have breakfast, lunch and dinner or book a room. The whole area can be done on foot. Keep an eye out for bear tracks and dominant sheepdogs.
There are paths, but you can easily deviate from them and walk freely everywhere (except through the cultivated fields of course).
