Description

When the Zbiornik Rydzyna reservoir dries out parly then you can observe a lot of different shorebirds. You can also observe different types of birds not only because of the reservoir itself but also because of the meadows, farmlands and forest near by. For example žvižgavka, čopasti škrjanec, mali deževnik, žličarica can be seen there. Also during migration there is a chance to see more rare species. Like for example already observed there školjkarica, sabljarka or mala bela caplja. Species composition depends on the water level in a given year.

Access

There is a free parking for cars available next to the reservoir. However to explore the area you need to walk or cycle because there is no way to get to the reservoir directly without getting out of the car. The way from the parking to the reservoir will take you less than a minute :) A circular walk around the reservoir is about 4 km long.
