Bugaj Reservoir is a great place during spring and summer time. There is a breeding colony of navadna čigra, črna čigra and rečni galeb. Two or three pairs of rjavi lunj also breed there. It is also a breeding place for labod grbec, mali ponirek, bobnarica, brkata sinica, zelenonoga tukalica and čopasti ponirek.
