Description

You can explore the entire Veines peninsula and also the platform over the sea where several bird species can be observed, including črna njorka, veliki kormoran, vranjek, navadna čigra, polarna čigra and gulls. Some shore birds as komatni deževnik or morski prodnik can be observed all summer, and školjkarica may nest on the beach during summer there. Inland you can spot zlata prosenka, togotnik, močvirska uharica, belorepec and koconoga kanja.

Water birds as gaga and srednji žagar and also a diversity of small birds as modra taščica, snežni strnad, zelenec, gorska sinica, brezovcek and bela pastirica contribute to the very interesting diversity. In fact all parts of the peninsula are good for birding.
