Description
The Purmerbos is still very young. Yet there is already a lot to see between the poplars, ash, oak and beech that were planted more than twenty years ago. On one side forest on the other side a water storage with many ducks and a reed marsh area that you can walk around. The marsh itself is not accessible.

Nederlands: Verrassend veel leuke vogels in dit kleine bos en moeras aan de oostkant van Purmerend. Het Purmerbos is nog piepjong. Toch is er al veel te zien tussen de populieren, essen, eiken en beuken die ruim twintig jaar geleden werden aangeplant. Aan de ene kant bos aan de andere kant een waterberging met veel eenden en een rietmoerasgedeelre waar je omheen kunt lopen. Het moerasgedeelte is niet toegankelijk.

You can park in one of the parking spaces on Westerweg. I always park in the Es parking lot. The circular walk shown on the map is approximately 3.5 km.
