Oude Veerseweg is a wet meadow bird area. Salt water comes up here and there. A circular walk is possible with a view from the towpath and there is a bird watching screen. Plenty of birds to see in the spring. Among the birds you can see here are žličarka, belolična gos, beločela gos, žličarica, kreheljc, črnorepi kljunač, rdečenogi martinec, veliki škurh and sabljarka.

Nederlands: Oude Veerseweg is een nat weidevogelgebied bij Middelburg in beheer van Zeeuws Landschap. Hier en daar komt zout water omhoog. Er is een rondwandeling mogelijk met zicht vanaf het jaagpad en er is een vogelkijkscherm aanwezig. Volop vogels te zien in het voorjaar. Vogels die je hier kunt zien zijn: žličarka, belolična gos, beločela gos, žličarica, kreheljc, črnorepi kljunač, rdečenogi martinec, veliki škurh en sabljarka.
