Noorderpark Ruigenhoek on the outskirts of the city of Utrecht is a big nature and recreation area. You will find wetlands, forest, fortresses, bunkers, polder landscape and many hiking trails. Birds you can encounter there are Mokož, kukavica, priba, bobnarica, rjava čaplja, navadna čigra, čuk, vodomec, bičja trstnica, modra taščica, kalin and rumeni vrtnik.

Noorderpark Ruigenhoek can be found on the northern edge of Utrecht. The area is accessible daily between sunrise and sunset and is easily accessible by bicycle or car. You can park for free in one of the 6 parking spaces. From Utrecht Overvecht train station you are in the middle of the area after a 20-minute walk. The area is best explored on foot or by bicycle. Numerous hiking routes are possible. The route on the map is the Rondje Ruigenhoek and follows the network of walking trails, recognizable by the orange shields with blue numbers and arrows. The route starts and ends at the parking lot at Gageldijk, Gageldijk 1, Utrecht. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking lot. From there, follow the walking route via the map or via these number: 21 - 41 - 42 - 43 - 44 - 48 - 47 - 46 - 45 - 38 - 39 - 41 - 21.

Parkeren kan gratis op één van de 6 parkeerplaatsen. Vanaf treinstation Utrecht Overvecht ben je na 20 minuten lopen midden in het gebied. Het gebied is het beste lopend of met de fiets te verkennen.
